Top news story internationally was that of the Spanair plane, JK5022 which crashed off the runway at Barajas airport on the 20th August. The plane had been bound for Gran Canaria but never made it out of Madrid. Jane McDonald, 45, was born in Wakefield. She found fame on fly-on-the-wall series The Cruise, and went on to become an established singer (she tours annually) and TV presenter, helming series including BBC One talent show Star for A Night and ITV1 daytime chat show Loose Women. She features in the documentary Return to The Cruise, airing on BBC Two on August 13, and her latest album, Jane, hits the shops on August 11. PRESS RELEASE: Telmicro Levante S.L.Telmicro Levante S.L. has been through  three very turbulent and testing weeks since they were forced to cease transmission. The reason for this situation was due to the company transmitting certain channels for the benefit of its clients. During this week, Telmicro Levante will be starting to broadcast a service again. They have already started and clients on the Los Montesinos transmitter have been receiving some channels since last Saturday and it is Telmicro Levante's intention to be broadcasting to as many of their clients as possible by the end of this week.
