Tony's tome is already half price...HIYA FOLKS! Well, phew, I’ve received a lot of feedback on last week’s article about Tony Blair’s book. I am, as always, most grateful to everyone who got in touch. It does seem that a great many of you are of the opinion that Tony Blair’s offer to give the Royal British Legion his ‘proceeds’ from the book to be little more than a cynical and calculated PR move.

A pony for Tony? Gerrof you're 'avin a TurkishSEVERAL WEEKS ago in these columns I urged you not to spend your hard earned dosh on The Third Man by Peter Mandleson. This week I have a similar request as I not urge but beg - yes folks, beg you - not to part with any money whatsoever on the publication that was ‘rolled out’ on the first of September. DO YOU know what day it is today, folks? I suppose the title kinda gives it away, doesn’t it? Now me, I’m not too bothered by it. Well, I am a bit. I suppose more accurately I’m a little bit worried. But, you see, my worry is that I’ll forget what day it is and that act of forgetting could spell utter disaster for me… You’ll see why as we go along.
