IS IT just me?  Ryanair and now Air-Berlin are throwing their toys out of their respective prams, because the Murcian government tourist arm refuses to yield; in the case of Air-Berlin, to a financial ‘commitment’ to stimulate tourism

WITH THE abolition of bull fighting having been decided upon in Barcelona recently, the most satisfying spectacle for me personally was to see the Matador crying his eyes out in the public gallery following the decision. No doubt he was contemplating now having to join the four and a half million others in the country seeking more productive employment.

I AM boiling over yet again after watching the BBC news on the evening of 29th July with a report on pensioners working after 65: if they are happy with this, good for them...  The report went on to say that at present there were 4 workers paying my pension!

I’VE WRITTEN fiction for children, but now just for you I’ll try fact. First a warning: as well as money and health, I’m a little short on tact. I’ve thoroughly researched my subject and I’ve studied it well, Now are you sitting comfortably? Good, then the story I’ll tell. In days of old when Knights were bold, And fairy stories to you all, when children, were told.Back then life was simple; you wore a smile on your face, But as you grew older, things changed, you entered the rat race.

WE ALL receive promotional telephone calls, so when I received a call from Telefonica (now taken over by Movistar) offering a ‘good offer’, I took the call with interest (I am a customer already). ‘Maria’ who spoke fluent English with an English accent, told me she had lived in London, explained the offer was for ADSL, TV CHANNELS AND FREE NATIONAL CALLS FOR ONLY €35.
