T
wo very popular website authors met up last week to share ideas and discuss ways in which they can move their websites forward for the benefit of their many readers. David Hardy, who is the author of the San Miguel de Salinas website, www.san-miguel-de-salinas.com and Jennifer Massey, who is the author of www.algorfa.co.uk met for coffee last week and discovered that they have more in common than just a job title. Both websites have been devised to help English speakers integrate into the Spanish way of life and give them invaluable information about the Spanish culture, its citizens, customs and laws. They both succeed in informing expats who live in their respective towns of forthcoming events as well as guide them through any traumas that they may be experiencing. They promote and introduce Spanish businesses to English speakers and vice versa, as well as broadcast local news for all owners of properties in their towns. After a very productive meeting that Round Town News was delighted to be involved in, it was decided that as both websites have a lot in common and the authors both have mutual desire to keep residents, both here in Spain and abroad, informed of what is happening in their towns, they have decided to join forces and hope to attract other website authors from all over the Vega Baja to also join them and form a coalition of websites that can help and support each other, gain information and hints from each other and therefore help their readers even more than they do already. The launch of this new contingent of websites will hopefully take place in the New Year and it promises to be a great step forward for all involved. RTN will keep you informed on David and Jennifer's new project and wishes them lots of success with it.
