Born in Texas in 1963 but musically raised in Louisiana, Eugene Hideaway Bridges started playing the guitar when he was 5 years old. He is the son of the prestigious bluesman Hideaway Slim. Hideaway Bridges is an experienced guitar player and blues singer.
His style, according to specialized critics, is comparable to BB King, the great legend of blues, and his voice reminds to Sam Cooke. In his discography highlights Jump the Joint (2003), that remained 4th on the Livin Blues Charts US for months.
His last CD Eugene Hideaway Bridges (2007) is a Blues Music Awards 2008 nominee in best male guitar player and best album categories.

Ibrahim Ferrer was, along with Compay Segundo and Eliades Ochoa, one of the most illustrious members of Buena Vista Social Club.
Ferrer Son Music is a show that includes 3 of Ibrahim’s sons (Ibrahim Ferrer Jr., Normita and Oniel Moisés) touring for the first time together in Europe, to homage his father. The show includes a list of cuban songs that their father Ibrahim Ferrer played during his long life.
Chan-Chan, Perfidia or Bésame mucho are some of the unforgettable titles of cuban music history that will may be heard singed by Ibrahim’s descendants accompanied by an excellent cuban quartet.

A musical trip for the jazz from the 50s to today, in charge of an exceptional band led by the vocalist Rachel Gould, who has worked with Chet Baker and with the band of Count Basie. Also with the special collaboration of the north-american trumpeter Philip Harper, who stands out for having played for a long time with the Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers. Both will be accompanied by a musicians’ excellent trio from Holland and from Germany.

Sotaelgrau is a music collective that is an idea of the pioneers of Col•lectiu Sota el Grau, a youth and cultural association from Grau de Gandia. The Dervishes from Cairo is a group that was born in 2001, with the aim of disseminate traditional and popular egyptian music and, specially, sufi dance.
The Dervishes from Cairo have become a group with great projection all over the world due to the strength, the enormous ability to concentrate required to execute the dance and also because of the music brilliant interpretation and the great speed whirlings which produce a different mix of emotions on stage, from joy to dizziness. The Dervishes from Cairo present us a very dynamic, sometimes frenetic performance, they will impress the audience with their colorful and skilled show.

NUEVO TANGO ZINGER SEPTET - From tango to caribbean music - 10 € / 8 €
Pablo Zinger is an uruguayan prestigious pianist that lives in the USA, who is a regular accompanist to Paquito d’Rivera.
Zinger directs this septet formed by selected valencian solo-singers, that will perform tangos by Piazzolla and Gardel, the andine rhytms of Misa Criolla, Pixinguinha carioca chorinhos or syncopated rhythms from Puerto Rico, Mexico or Cuba.
The Zinger Septet performance has a strong element of spontaneity, improvisation and creativity, the erudite and humorous comments of maestro Zinger, all spiced with the presence of a dancing couple.

JAUME PEDRÓS GROUP - From blues to electric jazz - Free entrance
This quartet lead by guitar player Jaume Pedrós is a project started in 2004, and was born with the idea of creating a repertoire of original music, taking jazz as a starting point and mixing it with blues, rock and funk, in an acoustic and electric context. This is best embodied in the edition of his first work entitled Barrio Alto, which was selected as a finalist in the new projects category by the prestigious Jaç magazine in 2007.

JUAN GÓMEZ CHICUELO - Latest flamenco - 10 € / 8 €
Juan Gómez Chicuelo is one of the most relevant guitar players at nowadays flamenco scene and he also is one of the most prolific and interesting composer of the last few generations. A usual accompanist to El Cigala or Enrique Morente, Chicuelo has also worked with Joaquín Cortés and Antonio Canales companies amongst others and he even composed part of the music for the unfinished last Orson Welles film. At Gandia Chicuelo will show his last work titled Diapasión, a tour by different flamenco rythms, composed and played by his group and counts with relevant musicians collaboration.

JERRY GONZÁLEZ BAND - Latin roots jazz - 10 € / 8 €
A jazz musician having a rumbero vocation, or viceversa, New York’s trumpetist Jerry González is one of most progressive latin-jazz players. He has performed at the best jazz festivals and has collaborated with prominent interpreters like Paquito d’Rivera, McCoy Tyner or Jaco Pastorius, amongst others.
According to critics, Jerry Gonzalez started the fusion between jazz and rumba. Some examples of these are his collaborations with musicians like Paco de Lucia or Enrique Morente, as well as his role as one of the artists featured at Fernando Trueba’s film, Calle 54, and the nomination of two of his albums in best latin jazz album category at the Grammy Awards.

All of this, spiced with original music that will result - if cosmic waves are conducive - relaxing and pleasant sensations of color and noble blinks to the sensitive audiovisual audience, even when the darkness of the final infinity shall attempt to seize our vivid impressions.
