A
recent study has revealed that over half of all young Spanish men produce semen which Doctors consider to be of lower quality than ‘normal.’ The examination was conducted by the ‘Marqués Assisted Reproduction Institute’ (MARI), which collated 1 239 semen samples from Spaniards aged 18 to 30 from 60 fertility clinics located across the country. A staggering 57.8 percent of these revealed low sperm counts. Incidentally, samples collected in Galicia, Andalucia and Madrid were of the highest quality, while Valencia, Catalonia and the Basque Country were the lowest scorers. Researchers have linked the disparity to the nature of industrial action located in the areas with lower readings.
