Staying In Touch with the Spanish Fiestas

Your days of hearing about the local fiestas after the event are about to come to an end, thanks to the awesome Fiesta Calendar. Local author and event organiser, Andy Ormiston, has developed a colourful and informative calendar crammed with useful hints on fiestas happening throughout the Valencian Community. Glaswegian Andy has learned the lingo and integrated with the natives and with a keen interest in history and thirst for information he researched his new home in dept, becoming a well-loved personality throughout the area.

CAMEOS

Andy’s interest in Torrevieja led to the publication of his book, entitled ‘Cameos of Torrevieja-Her Past and People’, in March of this year - the first English language book ever to be published in relation to this theme. Its pages record some of the most significant events in the city’s colourful history. Over 500 copies of the book have been sold to date,and Andy is now kept busy giving presentations relating to its material to groups and societies throughout the locality.
