barcelo529.jpgFashion Design Trip to Barcelona

Five A-Level Fashion Design students and Mrs Pauline Kershaw from LAUDE The Lady Elizabeth School enjoyed a visit to Barcelona where they explored many of the fashion houses and museums.

The trip included visits to Instituto Europeo di Design (IED), the Gothic Quarter, The Shoe Museum, Escola Superior de Disseny, the Costume and Textile Museum and The Picasso Museum and Gallery.

The girls received a fantastic insight into the world of fashion, both present and past, and were particularly impressed with the excellent exhibition at the Costume and Textile Museum, housed in the Palace Padrables.

Workshops and classroom lectures were included in the five days and the students witnessed fashion designers at work and were privy to the latest materials and designs in some of Europe’s biggest fashion houses.
